Seattle to Ketchikan and back to Seattle on the Alaskan – 7-day Cruise

This cruise is great for those cruise passengers who do not have a passport (instead, please use your certified birth certificate and photo ID).  Roundtrip from Seattle, you’ll enjoy the experience of calving glaciers to foraging wildlife, Gold Rush history to native cultures. Enjoy the real Alaska—plus exceptional onboard programs and entertainment—in classic cruise style.

You’ll begin by flying into Seattle, Washington and enjoying the sights of the fish market and Puget Sound for a couple of days if you choose to begin with a pre-cruise hotel stay.  Then board your Holland America Ship for a picturesque sailing of the Inside Passage to Ketchikan.  

While in Seattle enjoy a couple of days sightseeing and touring.  Visit the famous fish market, have dinner in the space needle, discover what’s beautiful about the majestic Mount Rainier.

Set Sail and enjoy a relaxing day cruising Puget Sound and the Inside Passage, a thousand miles of protected waterways with land close on each side of the ship. Explore the many fine amenities and activities aboard your 5-Star floating resort, or just kick back and watch the wonderful scenery glide smoothly by. Enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Aboard Cocktail Party and dinner.

The fishing village of Ketchikan, perched in the small space between mountains and sea, is the first port of call. Your tour will give you this town’s colorful history and take you past the site of what was once the world’s largest wood pulp mills to Totem Bight State Park, a former native campsite on the shoreline, where beautifully-carved totems stand silently among cedar and hemlock trees. Juneau is Alaska’s state capital, but you can only reach it by air or water – no roads connect it with the rest of the world. Visit the Macauley Fish Hatchery and the Mendenhall Glacier.  A Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site, Hubbard Glacier which protects a unique ecosystem of plants and animals living in concert with an ever-changing glacial landscape. Your cruise ship will be your visitor center for this unforgettable day. Sail on to the Gulf of Alaska. On your last full day aboard your luxurious floating resort. Be sure to take full advantage of all the many activities aboard ship.

On your last sail day, you’ll visit Victoria, BC – enjoy dinner and the night life that is offered in this spectacular city by the bay.
