Day 1 – Arrive Sydney – Welcome to Sydney; The Grace Hotel transfer.  Venture to the Rocks Market for a Cultural Insight.  European settlers first stepped ashore on January 26, 1788 to this site which is more than just a mere shopping experience.  Your welcome reception dinner with wine will be aboard the Captain Cook Cruise.  Enjoy a magnificent cruise to the main harbor.

Day 2 & 3 – Sydney Sightseeing – Both with a guide and at your leisure.  First start with a tour of the Sydney Opera House with a Local Specialist.  Discover stories and history behind Danish architect Utzon’s remarkable achievement.  You’ll venture out to Bondi Beach; partake of a regional meal at an Aussie institution – The Returned Servicemen’s Club.  Your Local Specialist will offer insight to the oldest surf lifesaving club and its history.  Next day, enjoy free time to experience the harbor front on your own, as well as the city of Sydney. A suggestion would be to visit the Wildlife Park where you’ll get up close and personal with some of Australia’s native animals.

Day 4 & 5 – Hamilton Island (2 Nights) – Visit on of the 74 Islands in Queensland’s Whitsundays.  This island is a tropical paradise.  Take time to relax and enjoy a free afternoon and evening.  Take a stroll along the water’s edge where you’ll witness one of the most beautiful sunsets.  Your stay at the Reef View Hotel is spellbinding.  Next day, hire a buggy to explore the island or go snorkeling.

Day 6 & 7 – Fly from Hamilton Island to Cairns, Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef (2 Nights) – then visit the resort town of Port Douglas where you will lodge at the QT. Nestled between two UNESCO World Heritage listed areas:  The Great Barrier Reef and Daintree National Park;  you can use the afternoon to explore the village or join one of the resort activities.  The evening you may be tempted to socialize at the Estilo Lounge before dinner at Bazaar marketplace.  Next day you will board a Quicksilver catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef; more specifically to the Agincourt Reef.  There – on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef – you’ll enjoy the fresh air, crystal blue waters, tropical breeze, snorkeling, fish feeding, and anything else water related you choose.  A tropical buffet lunch is included.  You’ll head back to Port Douglas for a relaxing evening.

Day 8 & 9 – Port Douglas and Cairns (2Nights) – Here your first stop is the Mossman Gorge in the Daintree National Park for your Ngadiku Dreamtime Gorge Walk.  This is a hands-on rainforest experience that you will enjoy because it is so enchanting.  At the end of the journey you’ll have bush tea and damper (bread).  Later your journey leads you to Kuranda where there’s time to explore the village in the rainforest including the Heritage Village Market.  Return to the lowlands on the Skyrail Cableway high above the canopy of the Barron Gorge National Park.  Join your companions in the evening for a special Be My Guest dining experience with a local family.  Enjoy an Aussie BBQ dinner.  Next day you may choose to experience Cairns on your own.  Perhaps go to the Cairns Tropical Zoo or Hartley’s Crocodile Adventure.  Have you seen the koalas yet?  This evening you will join your fellow travelers and your Local Specialist for a farewell dinner on the Cairns waterfront.

Day 10 – Breakfast in Cairns – After breakfast you will board your flight back to the United States.
