This rejuvenating tour of Portugal leads you past rolling olive farms, through scenic cork groves, and down winding Moorish alleyways to the country’s signature delights. In its coastal villages and medieval towns, tapes grilled seafood fill the tables, sweet port fills the glasses, and the soulful sounds of fado music fill the air. From the granules of golden sand to the rich nuggets of history, this enlightening tour of Portugal introduces you to the brightest sights of the country as you make a loop from lively Lisbon and back.  We’ve prepared everything you need for the perfect vacation—from transfers to and from your hotel to expert Local Guides and included VIP sightseeing access to the world’s iconic sites. DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN LISBON, PORTUGAL
Welcome to LISBON! After your arrival you will meet your Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome dinner at your hotel. Dinner is included this evening.

DAY 2 – LISBON
This morning we will gather for breakfast and have a guided sightseeing tour which includes Jeronimos Monastery and cloister as well as a photo stop at Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. Enjoy Breakfast with your group.

DAY 3 – LISBON–OBIDOS–NAZARÉ–ALCOBAÇA–FÁTIMA–TOMAR
In OBIDOS we will have an Orientation walk through the medieval town. The town has kept its historic flavor.
NAZARÉ provides Free time to browse the shops and get a feel of the town.
ALCOBAÇA While you are there you will want to visit the Church of Santa Maria Monastery. Please take your time to learn about this monastery.
FÁTIMA Be sure to see the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary before heading to Tomar.  Breakfast/Dinner.

DAY 4 & 5 – TOMAR–COIMBRA–PORTO
TOMAR Make sure you make time to Visit the Convent of Christ.
COIMBRA Visiting the University and seeing the Scenic drive en route to Porto will be a real highlight of your day.
PORTO The Guided sightseeing tour includes a panoramic drive to the mouth of the Douro River and the Church of São Francisco and the Arabian Hall in the Stock Exchange you will have a chance to have a wine tasting at the world famous Sandeman & Co Port Wine Cellar. Explore the town in the afternoon   Breakfast

ENHANCE YOUR FREE TIME in Porto by taking a cruise on the Douro River followed by a traditional Portuguese dinner. This and many more options throughout your tour are available for purchase. Get local maps and tips for free time.

DAY 6 – PORTO–GUIMARAES–PENAFIEL–VISEU
GUIMARAES The Orientation walk through this medieval center is wonderful as you will go back in time.
PENAFIEL While visiting the gardens of the Quinta da Aveleda winery you can taste a tapas wine. On your way to Viseu, you will experience a beautiful drive through the vineyards.  Breakfast/Dinner

DAY 7 – VISEU–BELMONTE–CASTELO DE VIDE–EVORA
BELMONTE Here you will get to Visit the Jewish Museum and experience the special Olive oil tasting.
CASTELO DE VIDE After the olive oil experience you will get to walk  through the Jewish quarter with free time to browse and find a special memento.
EVORA After tasting both different wines and olive oil seeing how cork is used to cap the bottles will be found in a cork factory.  Breakfast/Dinner

 DAY 8 – EVORA–ALGARVE
EVORA A special Guided walking tour includes the Gothic cathedral, the Sao Francisco Church, and the Ossuary Chapel, each having its own flavor.  This is perfect time to find a delicious place for lunch.
ALGARVE On to the town of Algarve for free time to explore into the late afternoon and evening.  Breakfast

DAY 9 – ALGARVE  COASTAL
From ALGARVE you are going to travel to the Promontory of Sagres, Cape St.  Vincent, and Lagos. You will see magnificent coastal sights as you travel the southern part of Portugal.  Breakfast

DAY 10 – ALGARVE–AZEITÃO–LISBON –
The Scenic drive along the Serra da Arrábida with views of the Tróia Peninsula are well worth the wait and in
AZEITÃO you will visit a traditional tile workshop and maybe able to choose a special piece for yourself. A return to LISBON finishes the circle around Portugal and a Farewell dinner at your hotel.  Breakfast/Dinner

DAY 11 – LISBON
Your vacation ends with Breakfast this morning and your flight back home.
